The Jet Fuel Thermal Oxidation Tester

Key FeaturesPrimary Advantages
  • Approved by ASTM for D3241.
  • Microprocessor controlled operation and full report print-out (with optional printer).
  • New three-point temperature calibration routine improves temperature accuracy.
  • Automatic temperature compensation.
  • Reduced set-up time required - easy access to all test components in front.
  • Increased safety.
  • Precise flow rate control.
  • Pumping and pressure control components are isolated from thermally degraded fuel.
  • Easy installation - Electricity is the only connection. No nitrogen, external water supply, or drain required.
  • Compatible with alternate test procedures and fuels (diesel, turbine, spark ignition and others).
  • Serial (RS-232) data port.
  • AUTOMATION - All test parameters are controlled by the microprocessor. Temperature calibrations are automatically applied and data collected automatically.
  • PERFORMANCE - The new piston pump assures steady and accurate flow control. The multi-point temperature calibration results in more accurate heater tube temperatures.
  • INCREASED VERSATILITY - The JFTOTII may be used with a wide variety of fuels. The optional 2 deltaP (model 240> allows for study of time dependent thermal deposits.
  • INCREASED SAFETY - The JFTOTII pump automatically stops if a major leak occurs.
  • LOWER OPERATING COSTS - The original JFTOT gear pump requires periodic rebuilding or replacement. This is due to the relatively low lubricity of many samples and late forming thermal degradation products. Both factors result in wear of the pump, resulting in lower and erratic flow rates which can affect performance of the analyzer. The JFTOT II syringe pump is not affected by these conditions. Additionally, no nitrogen supply, external cooling water or drain are required for the JFTOTII.
